The English Language: Prefix, Word Root, Suffix
Word Parts:Most of the words and word parts that we use for numbers come from Greek, like the prefix "dek" or "dec," which means ten (a decade is a period of ten years; a decathelon is a sports event which combines ten different sports; December used to be the tenth month of the year before some rulers in ancient Rome added July and August to their calendar to honor their rulers and politicians Augustus and Julius Caesar.
Other languages which we have "borrowed" words or word fragments from include Germanic (from a part of Europe which today includes Germany, Hungary and a few other countries) and Arabic.

Definition of the Word:
Antidisestablishmentarianism is often quoted as one of the longest English words that has an actual meaning. Antidisestablishmentarianism can be broken down into individual word parts: anti-dis-establishment-arian-ism.
It is a political philosophy that is opposed to the separation of church and state.
The term originated in the context of the nineteenth century Church of England; antidisestablismentarians were opposed to proposals to remove its status as the state church of England. The term has largely fallen into disuse, although the issue itself is still current.
